Marijuana-law Hunger Striker Dies
Istvan Marton from Malcolm Island (off the northeast coast of Vancouver Island, Canada) died yesterday of heart failure after refusing to eat for more than a month. He was facing a charge of possession of cannabis. Even if the charges would be dropped he would continue his hunger strike. Istvan: "Even if the charges are dropped, I won't stop the hunger strike until they put back all my marijuana exactly where it was and give me back my $3,000 and change the law." Istvan, also known as Steve, the local fair-deal marijuana seller, knew he was going to die. Now he did. Steve, you had balls, big balls. Light one up for Steve everyone...
