The South Florida serial iPhone theft suspect has been arrested, thanks to the tattoo on his forehead.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said 19-year-old Joseph Eric Williams was in custody Wednesday, after the "I'm Me" tat on Williams' head led police right to him.
Williams was picked up in Miami Gardens around 8 p.m., after stories about his exploits and a $1,000 CrimeStoppers reward led to a phoned-in tip.
Story: There's a modus operandi for that
Police say Williams' crime spree began Aug. 20, and that he has robbed as many as 15 AT&T stores in the past two months. Williams would walk into the store and quickly grab two or three iPhones from a display then make his escape, police say. The phones are worth up to $600 each.
Williams allegedly struck stores throughout Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. He faces at least four counts of grand theft and is being held on $13,000 bond.
