The Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles met on Monday 19 September 2011 to consider clemency for Troy. They announced at 9am Georgia time, Tuesday 20 September, that clemency would not be granted, and Troy's execution would go ahead the following day.

We continue to appeal for clemency for Troy. The Board can grant this at any point up to the time of execution. They alone are in the position to grant clemency.

There is an alternative to execution. There remains simply too much doubt to execute Troy Davis.
