Anonymous Communiqué: To the British Government Concerning Pre-Crime Arrests

OpBritain on behalf of Anonymous | 1 May 2011:

To the British Government Concerning Pre-Crime Arrests:

We have no problem with the Royal Wedding, and wish Will and Kate every happiness together. They sure need our good wishes with the dysfunctional family that they are now both a part of.

Nevertheless our beef is not with the young couple, but with you. Your stifling of free speech and unlawful arrests of activists for pre-crime has not gone unnoticed by Anonymous.

We are dismayed that you have brought in new laws two weeks before the event so that you could arrest these activists for pre-crime, inventing new offences off the cuff because you are running scared that the people are beginning to wake up to the fact that the United Kingdom is turning into a Corporatist Police State, and are beginning to speak out against it.

Of particular infamy is your arrest of Charlie Veitch for the pre-crime of 'Conspiracy to cause a public nuisance'. So being a loud-mouthed Jock with a megaphone and an ascerbic wit is a crinimal offence now in a so-called free and fair 'Democracy' ?

The raids of squats in London and Brighton on the off chance that they might be planning something that might be considered a mere pain in the arse to most normal people is also disgusting.

We could go on and list all the human rights abuses you have committed over the past week, but we do not have all day. We are also annoyed about the arrest of Anons in January and April (PDF). How are we supposed to defeat tyranny if you keep arresting us all?

We know what you have been up to. We are Anonymous, and we are everywhere.

We desire a cessation of your anti-free speech activities and a return to the sanity of our Common Law. We desire that the British Constitution, the 1215 Magna carta, the 1689 Bill of Rights, and the 1700 Act of Settlement, be respected at all times, and that no one should be arrested for pre-crime without the strictest Judicial oversight and for the gravest of possible offences.

Otherwise, we shall do everything in our power to become a real pain in the arse to you, above and beyond any mere DDoS attacks. To be honest there is no point DDoS'ing UK Government servers when they are prone to crashing on their own. You would not really notice any difference.

Instead, we shall incite Lawful Rebellion under Article 61 of the Magna Carta until the entire system comes crashing down around your ears, just like it has done in Tunisia and Egypt.

We are Anonymous,
We are Legion,
We do not Forgive,
We do not Forget,
Expect Us.
